BARLEY TO BOTTLE
THE BEAUTY OF NATURE.
THE CURIOSITY OF MAN.
Water is one of the three fundamental ingredients needed to make malt whisky. Our mineral-rich water is sourced from two natural springs nearby.
Barley is Scotland’s native grain, and the Spey Valley is one of the most fertile regions of the world. At The Glen Grant, we only use Scottish barley, which is known for being full of flavour.
We meticulously choose quality ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Spanish sherry casks, ensuring they are only used a limited number of times. All casks are individually hand-picked by Master Distiller Dennis Malcolm.
In the 1880s, The Glen Grant was the first distillery to use a purifier while distilling whisky. Together with our tall, slender pot stills, these innovations guaranteed that only the very finest vapours would condense into the spirit.
