Savour Sensibly
Enjoy your evening
Drinking should be a pleasurable activity, and certainly after the first drink you may experience a warm, mellow feeling. Your inhibitions may also be lowered which could make for a relaxed experience. However, as you would expect, the more alcohol you consume the less alert and the less inhibited you are likely to become. Your judgement will become impaired as will your coordination.
It doesn't take a genius to realise that this could cause problems. If you continue drinking after this point, you could experience mood swings and possibly put yourself in compromising or dangerous situations.
People who have drunk too much are unattractive and can be off-putting, miles away from the sophistication and relaxation that they could be enjoying.
Take the authentic approach
Going out, coming home
You want to have a good night out. Forget the hassle and leave the driving to someone else. If you know that you will be coming home late, why not book a cab or appoint a designated driver? That way you get to enjoy your evening pure and simple.
Don't ever get a lift from someone who is drunk or has been drinking, keep a safe distance from anyone that has been driving and if you see someone you believe to be drunk and driving report them to the police. It's better to be proactive than to wish you'd acted sooner.
Conventional or unconventional?
It's easy to feel pressurised into drinking under age. You might want to fit in with the crowd or test restrictions placed on you. Sometimes this behaviour can lead to excesses you wouldn't normally dream of, because you are doing it in secret, or to prove a point. And that can lead to accidents or severe embarrassment. Hardly the coolest experience. Besides which testing the limits by drinking underage is a little conventional.
